I just finished reading an article from a popular magazine about how to fix your computer should you get a virus. The interesting thing to me, about the article, was step three and step four were to backup your data and then to reinstall your operating system and all your applications and then restore your data. I find that the majority of businesses do not have adequate backup, or a backup plan. They operate on the assumption that since nothing has gone wrong, nothing will go wrong. When something does go wrong, they call a computer expert who charges them huge amounts of money to rescue the data that they should've had backed up. I first started in computers in 1985, and my first job was backup. I learned the importance of backup, and a backup plan, I learned how to rotate media, and I learned the importance of recovery to a business.
